About Niveus

Niveus is a leading software and hardware developer of solutions for the digital home, digital signage and media distribution markets.  Having won numerous ‘Innovations Design & Engineering’ awards for our unique approach to software and hardware design for the custom installation home theater market, Niveus is now expanding that expertise to the digital signage and digital media distribution markets.

Our growing software design arm has recently completed custom development projects for Fortune 100 companies and maintains expertise with technologies such as Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), Digital Transmission Content Protection (DTCP), Microsoft PlayReady®, Microsoft Silverlight®, and Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).

Additionally, our own innovative digital media distribution platform, the Niveus Connected Platform (NCP), enables Cable & Satellite Operators to supply their customers with the ability to gain greater access to the television and movies they already pay for with their monthly subscription. NCP accomplishes this by facilitating the secure streaming and file transfer of protected television shows and movies from the set-top box to popular consumer electronics such as the PC, Mac and Mobile Devices which then become the ultimate companions to a consumer’s television viewing experience.

Niveus was founded in 2003 and has offices located in Silicon Valley, CA.  It is a privately-held company, having received funding from Intel Capital and other private investors.
